Major Earnings This Week

Nvidia reported earnings on Wednesday after the market closed posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $1.36 beating expectations of $1.20

  • Rev of $8.29B beating expectations of $8.12B

Nvidia increased its share buyback program by up to $15B and expanded it through December 2023

Nvidia said next quarter it expects revenue of $8.1B +/- 2% below estimates of $8.45B

Costco reported earnings on Thursday after the market closed posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $3.17 beating expectations $3.00

  • Rev of $52.60B beating expectations of $51.76B

Due to social media posts from people like JohnWRichKid, Costco had to come out and directly address if its raising the price of its Hot Dog — which it isn't.

Alibaba reported earnings on Thursday before the market opened posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $1.25 beating expectations of $1.15

  • Rev of $32.19B beating expectations of $30.15B

Alibaba said it reached 1.31B total customers across the world, 1B in China and 305M outside of China

Broadcom reported earnings on Thursday before the market opened posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $8.39 beating expectations of $7.88

  • Rev of $8.10B beating expectations of $7.90B

Intuit reported earnings on Tuesday after the market closed posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $7.58 inline with expectations

  • Rev of $5.63B beating expectations of $5.51B

Zoom reported earnings on Monday after the market closed posting numbers of:

  • EPS of $0.99 beating expectations of $0.87

  • Rev of $1.07B inline with expectations

Snowflake reported earnings on Wednesday after the market closed posting numbers of:

  • EPS of -$0.53 missing expectations of $0.01

  • Rev of $422.4M beating expectations of $409.6M

Monday:

  • Jerome Powell has been sworn in for his second term as FED Chair. - FED

  • Snapchat filed an 8K warning that the company will likely miss its revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance for this current quarter. - Edgar 

  • Tesla expects to ramp production back to a level in Shanghai equal to before the city went on its recent COVID lockdown. - Reuters

  • Airbnb is closing its domestic business in China. - CNBC

Tuesday:

  • Walmart announced its expanding its drone delivery operations to almost 4 million households in parts of Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia. The service will have a $3.99 delivery fee per order and can deliver up to 10 pounds at a time. - Walmart

  • Apple is increasing its starting pay for hourly workers in the US, rising to $22 per hour. - MacRumors
